And the winner is...

After receiving hundreds of VIP registrations from opening day to the end of April, we were thrilled to present one lucky customer with $300 of CurtainStudio vouchers. That lucky VIP was Maricel Magsino of Lower Hutt.

New Lower Hutt Store Now Open!

We've been crazy busy over the past 3 weeks getting everything ready for the opening of our new store in Lower Hutt this week.

There were lots of long days spent cleaning, painting, building, more cleaning and finally hanging curtain and blinds in our newest store. The logistics of getting everything from the exterior signage to the coffee cups in the tea-room has been a full on task for our dedicated team tasked with getting the store ship shape and ready to open.

We have a great new team headed up by Carolyn the Store Manager. They are loving their new store and our beautiful range of readymade curtains and custom curtain and blind displays.

Our first shipment of readymade roller blinds has just arrived and they look fantastic.  They're on display at our Wairau Park store so come in and check them out.

They're perfect for any kids bedroom or playroom and come in a bold blue or pink colour story.  The blinds are blockout and are fitted with child safety features.

Latest Colour Trends

We've just returned from an exciting trip to a leading international textile fair. 

It is always great to see what design and colour trends are emerging internationally. Florals are making a return and leaf designs are very prominent. The sheer category is growing with variations of stripes on dry weaves and burnouts.

Colours coming through are serene and muted with a vintage look, co-ordinating with silver or pewter metals.

Everything is toned down with more grey in it and softer e.g. Aubergine has been toned down to Heather and Mink is a really strong colour coming through, it seems to have taken over the Lattes.

Colour combinations that dominated were:

Mink/Pewter

Duck Egg Blue which now has more grey 

Naturals/Mocha

Charcoal/Silver

There are still accents of Pistachio and Cobalt/Ming Blue

Mount Maunganui is moving!

Not the place just our store. We are moving four doors down in the HomeZone, swapping stores with Warehouse Stationery.

This is a great opportunity for us to create a new look store for the Mount and introduce our latest store concept to you. We started the move on Monday 9th May and we plan to be in our new premises by Wednesday 25th May.

We are open for business at our old store right up to our move date, so if you pop in please excuse us while we're changing!
